WordPress is the Best Blogging Platform

By | February 16, 2018

WordPress powers over 10 million websites on the internet and this number is rising fast. Well, 10 million website owners can’t be wrong, but if you are reading this article you are most likely not looking for a, “Because I said so” answer. I’ll do my best to give you valid and to the point reasons for using WordPress.

In this article I speak about my experiences and give you my opinion, but at the end you need to use the blogging platform you feel comfortable with. I suggest that WordPress is the best blogging platform, but you can disagree. When I refer to WordPress, I am speaking about the self-hosted WordPress option and not WordPress.com.

WordPress Is Best

1) It is the most popular blogging platform

Before using a software application you normally look at how popular it is to decide how good it is. We will apply the same principle to WordPress; WP is the most popular, so it is the best blogging platform.

2) Easy to install and use WordPress

WP is one of the easiest and most user-friendly scripts to install and use. Apart from configuring and installing themes or plugins, you will be up and running in a few minutes. Blogging in WP is as easy as writing a letter in Word. You don’t need much technical know-how. Throughout the years, the WP has perfected the design and the improvements just keep on coming.

3) WordPress Support is phenomenal

Before you start arguing with me, I’m not speaking about the support of the WP staff, I’m speaking about the support you will find from the millions of WP users. A good place to start is the WordPress support forum or you could just Google your exact issue and I’m sure you will find the solution posted somewhere.

4) Extensibility

With over 2,600 free themes available for WordPress it is hard to imagine you will not meet your desired website design. When it comes down to functionality, the database of over 32,900 plugins gives you enough options to find the feature you are looking for. Basically, there is nothing you can not do with WP.

5) Good for SEO

SEO is a big thing at the moment. Everybody is speaking about it and has become a hot topic on SEO blogs and forums. In WordPress you will not need to worry about SEO because WP is naturally Search Engine Optimized. There are also many plugins available to extend your Search Engine Optimization even more.

6) Migration from WordPress.com

WordPress.com is one of the most popular free blogging websites around. The dashboard in WordPress.com is almost the same as the one found in a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. This means that the learning curve is minimal when switching from WordPress.com to the self-hosted option.

I can go on and on about the hundreds of reasons I think WordPress is the best blogging platform, but then again, how about you test it and see for yourself. Thank you for reading this article and if you have any questions or issues with WP, please leave a comment and I will help you the best I can.
