By | May 3, 2017

Windows 10 Creators edition (version 1703) is the latest major update for Windows 10 from Microsoft. In this article, I will show you how to create Windows 10 Creators Edition installation media to upgrade many computers without downloading it each time. Furthermore, you can perform a clean install using the installation media.

Although the process is painless, note that each major Windows 10 update comes with a new set of issues and Windows 10 Creators Edition is by no means different.

Before Upgrading to Windows 10 Creators Edition

As mentioned earlier, Windows 10 Creators Edition has its own set of problems. Hence, If you are not ready for them, do not continue. Furthermore, you can Defer Feature Updates in Windows 10 to delay updating to the Windows 10 Creators Edition for several months. Make 100% sure you want to upgrade before continuing.

Make sure you have efficient disk space before installing Creators Edition. For this you can use he build in Windows Disk Cleanup utility. Also, remove Old Windows Installation files if you have any to free up even more space.

Furthermore; backup your important documents, update installed software and disable your Antivirus just to be safe. Also, if you do the upgrade on a laptop; make sure the battery is fully charged and keep it on the mains throughout the entire upgrade process.

Finally, you are ready to start; firstly, download the Media Creation Tool here (17.5MB)  On the page that opens, scroll down until you see the ‘Download tool now‘ button. Click on that and it should start downloading.
